ELIV System

Yes. Currently, the ELIV system uses WiFi as a link between apps and devices.

Yes. ELIV-equipped devices, once networked, can be managed by the Google Home and Amazon Alexa voice assistant apps.

Yes, as long as the dimmers are compatible with a standard DALI protocol. The ELIV.DALI.BRC and ELIV.DALI.ADD dimmers allow interfacing with DALI lighting systems.

Is simple. To insert devices within your WiFi network, you just need a 2.4Ghz WiFi network compatible with the 802.11 a / b / g standard and a smartphone, Android or iOs, equipped with Bluetooth.

Below is the status of the LEDs mounted on the dimmer and is common to all the products of the ELIV family. If the dimmer is installed inside the lamp, the visibility of the LED is not guaranteed

The customer can check by flashing the status LED if the dimmer is in BLE mode, WiFi local network or connected to the SmartHome server:

1) Always on with a short flash off:

Bluetooth connection active waiting to receive the parameters for the WiFi network connection

2) Off with a short flash on:

connected to the local wifi network, ready for control via a smartphone connected to the wifi network

3) Off with two short flashes on:

connected with ELIV's SmartHome server

If, after entering the WiFi network credentials from the app, the LED does not go to point 2), it is necessary to check that the passwords and network name are correct and that the router can assign an IP address to the dimmer ( DHCP) if, when the dimmer is in point 2) and you have accessed SmartHome via the app, the dimmer does not switch to the flashing LED indicated in point 3), it is necessary to check for the presence or absence of a firewall on the router that blocks outgoing/incoming connections from the local WiFI network to the internet.

APP-Software

To reset a device, simply follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the button connected to the lamp (usually used to dim the light) for 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the power to the device for at least 5 seconds.
  3. Power up the device.

Now the device is reset and restored to factory settings.

With the ELIV app, managing different systems - such as "home" and "office" - is very simple.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the ELIV app and go to the "Implants" section.
  2. Add a new plant (“+” icon at the top right).
  3. Login with a new SmartHome account to be associated with the system to be added.

If you haven't registered it yet, you can create a new one here. Remember that you can manage multiple Smarthome accounts (usernames) with the same email.

  1. If necessary, you can rename the system as you wish.
  2. Configure the lamps you want to associate with this system (you can consult the step-by-step guide of the ELIV app).

To switch from one system to another, go to the "Systems" section and select the system you want to control.

Of course, it will be sufficient to download the ELIV app on the new device, log in with the SmartHome account and during the configuration activity activate the "Include already configured devices" option.

Voice assistants

Yes. ELIV-equipped devices, once networked, can be managed with voice control via Google Home and Amazon Alexa systems. To date, there is no Apple Home Kit support.
